If you have ever been wounded by your father, you probably know that one of the hardest things in the world to do is to trust in a loving Father. Perhaps this is why the Lord admonishes us in the Bible not to call anyone on earth our “father”.

For this is exactly what He wants to be to us. He wants to be our loving Father. Once we come to learn about God and who He really is, we see that there is truly no comparison between our Father in heaven and our earthly “fathers”, particularly for those of us who have been wounded by the ones we have had on earth.
Today, why not cast off, and cast away, any negative preconceived notions, and experiences, you have ever had about the word “father.” Make the commitment, if you have not already, to learn who your heavenly Father really is.
Open your heart, and open the Bible, and come to discover your heavenly Father. Invite, and welcome, Him into your life to be the Father you always needed, and always desired. And let Him become to you the Father has has always intended to be. Your perfect Father.
