The Holy Spirit of God broke into my thoughts with a strong message.
“Your thoughts do not please me,” He spoke to my heart.
God was chastening me. Leading me to repentance. Making plain and clear I needed to stop thinking about what I was thinking about. If I wanted to please, honor, and glorify God. If I wanted to love Him with all my heart, MIND, soul, and strength as the Lord Jesus Christ commands us to do.
No pun intended, have you ever thought about what you think about? Ever considered that some of your thoughts may not be pleasing to God almighty?
Sin is not just going against God with our words and actions. Sin is also having the thoughts that displease, dishonor, hurt, disrespect, etc. the Lord. And all sin needs to be gotten rid of.
Examples of thoughts that do not please God? Thoughts that come from bitterness, anger, hurt, self-pity, selfishness, vengeance, rage, criticism, condemnation, judgment, pride, worry, sexual lust, selfish ambition, etc.
Have any changes to make?
“Jesus said to him, ‘YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.’ This is the first and great commandment.” Matthew 22:37-38 NKJV
“Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.” 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 NKJV
