Latest GOOD NEWS DAILY – June 19

Dear friend,

God sees our hearts. Right inside them, yup. I’ve learned to look inside mine regularly. Why? Because what doesn’t belong there needs to go. Immediately. Why? Because the heart and life of a Christ follower belong to Jesus. And our hearts are to be filled with what honors the Lord not what dishonors Him.

I used to walk around with a really clogged heart. I was clogged with pride, fear, worry, doubt, anger, hatred, judgment, condemnation, bitterness, and so much more! But the Lord taught me I need to purify my heart and keep it clean for Him. That means whenever He shows me something in my heart displeasing to Him, I need to get rid of it.

Sometimes my heart starts getting clogged up again because I’m not being careful of what I allow into it and am not taking the time to look at my heart and to get rid of what needs to go. Then the Lord reminds me I need to do a better job of cleaning up my heart for Him.

When I empty my heart of sin and receive God’s forgiveness, I have lots more space to be filled up with more of God’s Spirit, with more of the fruit of His Spirit like love, joy, and peace, and with whatever the Lord desires day by day to pour into my heart!

The world around me gets to see a really dirty heart clogged with sin if I’m not careful. But if I’m careful, then the world gets to see the love of the Lord Jesus Christ and more and more of God’s Spirit pouring into and through me.

But you don’t need to hear about my heart, do you? I’m writing about mine simply to encourage you to look at your own.

Is your heart pleasing to Jesus? Are you taking the time regularly to get rid of what dishonors God? Is your heart filled with the Spirit of God who lives inside Jesus’ followers?

Please consider the condition of your heart. And may your heart bring the Lord joy, pleasure, and gladness. AMEN!

Here’s a verse to encourage you:

“Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life.” Proverbs 4:23

“Just a Little Act of Disobedience”““But why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do the things which I say?” Luke 6:46

The Lord wanted to bless me with something, and He gave me a very specific directive regarding receiving the blessing. I knew what He told me but justified my “little act of disobedience.”

Next thing I knew, I needed to repent and seek His forgiveness, seek the forgiveness of someone I believe I hurt in the process, and had to wait to see how the Lord would work out the mess I had made and see whether He still wanted to bless me according to His original plan.

Obedience is obedience, and disobedience is disobedience. Doesn’t matter how seemingly little or seemingly big God’s instructions to us. Jesus Christ is Lord, and we are to obey Him regardless.

The Lord wants us to love and glorify Him and to experience and enjoy Him, and He wants to love and bless us, but do we not get in the Lord’s way when we choose not to obey?

Oh, let us obey, friend, in all things, let us obey the Lord God almighty, yes!

365 BLESSINGS is a devotional book the Lord has led me to publish piece by piece even as I’m writing it rather than waiting until it’s in print to share it. Please join me & be blessed as I write my latest book…!

Blessing #60

““Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?

“So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?

“Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.” Mt. 6:25-34

I read these verses for years before the Spirit of God quickened in my heart 11 powerfully precious words to which I don’t believe I had ever paid enough attention. “For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.” How often, I wonder, do we go through our lives before we pray, as we pray, and after we pray without the deep belief, confidence, relief, wonder, thankfulness, and trust in the blessedness that GOD ALMIGHTY loves us, cares about us, wants what’s best for us, and KNOWS OUR EVERY NEED? He will answer our prayers according to His will because He knows what’s best for us and what will bring Him love, praise, honor, and glory. What a blessing, oh, what a blessing, to consider the Lord Jesus Christ loves and cares for us more than we can fathom – and that all our needs are known to Him! Let us place our trust in Him, let us live to love and glorify God, let us walk in obedience to Him, let us humbly come before Him in prayer with thankful hearts, and let us take comfort in knowing of His indescribable love and care for us, oh yes!

Blessings for the Suffering!

“Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also abounds through Christ.” 2 Cor. 1:3-5

If you heard the personal stories I hear on a regular basis through my ministry work, your heart may well break. People are continually pouring out their hearts and stories to me as I am blessed to point them to the Lord Jesus Christ and the Bible. It is heartbreaking indeed to hear of the indescribable suffering of people worldwide. But there is a LOVE, HOPE, PEACE, JOY, and COMFORT available to every person on this planet no matter our suffering!

His name is THE LORD JESUS CHRIST, and we can have a forever relationship with the Lord when we turn from our sins and believe He died on the cross to pay our sin penalty and was raised from the dead, truly turning our hearts and lives over to God and His ways. We can experience and enjoy fellowship with Jesus right here on this earth no matter our trials and tribulations, and we can look forward to spending forever with Him in heaven where there won’t be an ounce of suffering forevermore.

LOVE, HOPE, PEACE, JOY, and COMFORT are ours for the taking moment by moment and forever IN THE LORD JESUS CHRIST and in our relationship with Him when we give ourselves over to Him and His ways.

No matter our suffering, when we are His, His Spirit is right here in and with us to love us, to comfort us, to bless us, to speak to our hearts, to give us wisdom and direction, to protect us, to defend us, to provide for us, to teach us, to counsel us, to give us hope, to remind us of our future in heaven with Him, to reveal Himself to us, and give us endless treasures in the Bible, to lead us, to direct us, to make us more like Himself, to be our Lord, to be our God, to be our healer, to redeem us, to spend time with us and us with Him, to draw us ever closer to Himself, to fill us with more of Himself, to correct us when we need correction, to be our gracious, generous, beautiful, glorious Father, to show us more and more of Himself as we read His Word and spend time with Him, and on and on – and on. Forever!

Do you have a deeply personal, deeply intimate, ever-growing, fulfilling, and hope-filled relationship with Jesus?

Seeds for Serving!

The Spirit of God told me one time that I would bear more fruit for Him than I had ever borne as He led me forward in the next big season of my ministry work for Him, and that it would begin with this:

Fruit begins with seeds, doesn’t it? These would be my seeds as the Spirit of God led me forth.

These 3 seeds are fundamental for any of us serving Jesus in our everyday lives. FAITH in Jesus Christ as Lord. God’s LOVE for us, ours in return for Him, and ours through Him for others. And OBEDIENCE to God and His Word.

Please make sure these seeds are in your heart, words, and actions as you go forth serving Jesus day by day!

This week, I’ll be taking the ministry’s 4 special needs service ministry doggies to the doggy doctor to get them all checked. Two are paralyzed, 1 is disabled, and 1 is very old with special needs. They all have special needs, and they range in age from 7 to 14! They are all miracles in my estimate! They all are such a blessing to me and to so many others as they do streets ministry with me. And they all could use love & loads of prayer! The Lord has used them for years to introduce me to people to talk to about Him. Please keep them prayed up! And please pray the Lord will send more financial support for them and for the ministry as a whole!

Love and blessings,

Mommy to Mr. Simeon, Miss Mercy, Abigail, and Gracie
