Wait upon me (Isaiah 40:31). Do not turn to the left, nor to the right (Joshua 1:7). Keep your focus on me. You keep looking away. I need you to look back at me (Hebrews 12:2). Practice keeping your focus on me. I want you to understand that looking at the world is a distraction. I do not want you to be distracted from me.
You listen to the voices all around. You look at the faces watching me. This is not what I desire. I desire you. I desire your attention. I need you to know that looking at everywhere but at me is exactly what causes you the pain, the heartache, the hurt, the disappointment, the discouragement, that you continue to experience.
Please stop looking at the world. Look at me. I have everything you need. Seek me first (Matthew 6:33). If you turn away, I will remind you to come back. I am telling you this now. Come back to me (Jeremiah 24:7). You have looked away for too long. You pretend to the world that you love me. Show me. Do as I say.
