“Amen, praise you Jesus!” a long-time beloved friend and sister in Christ wrote me after I shared something with her.
I loved her message to me. Why? God had used her to help me with something. I had told her this. But instead of taking the credit for herself and being prideful, she humbled herself and gave the credit to God. Instead of giving glory to herself, she gave glory to God.
There is nothing wrong with feeling good when God uses us for something, to help someone, to accomplish something, etc. There is nothing wrong with being told, “thank you” by someone. There is nothing wrong with being recognized for what we did. BUT WE SHOULD NOT TAKE THE CREDIT AND GLORY FOR OURSELVES. WE SHOULD GIVE IT TO GOD!
I love to tell people that anything good they see in and through me is from God. Let us use every opportunity we have to bring honor, praise, and glory to THE LORD!
Jesus Christ is Lord! He will reign forever! Let the name of the Lord be forever praised! Let us be glory givers! Ever giving glory to God! Oh, praise, praise, praise the Lord, AMEN!
