PLEASE NOTE I AM NOT LED TO POST #91 ONLINE, SO HERE IS #92…!
Maybe you’ve never written a whole book about Thanksgiving. I am guessing you probably haven’t. I hadn’t until now, and here I am getting closer and closer to finishing writing my first draft of the messages portion of this devotional-journal book. Oh, sure, I wrote a book called 365 Blessings jam packed with verses God led me to write about. But this book is all about being thankful. And one might think after just about 4 days of writing what is now 91 messages, all glory to the Lord, that I would run out of messages to write about Thanksgiving. Oh, not so. I so love how the Holy Spirit leads me in life and ministry including most assuredly in my writing. He gives me endless messages! Like this one about getting another opportunity. Something for which I am so thankful.
See, some people seem to get through life effortlessly. Without lots of mistakes. Without lots of problems. Without lots of missed opportunities. I, on the other hand, have had problems galore for as long as I can remember. I have done so much wrong, made so many mistakes, sinned so much, missed so many opportunities, so often been on the wrong path, well, you get the point. So I’m extra, extra thankful to the Lord that even when I have been on the wrong path and missed opportunities as a result, when I have repented, He has lovingly, mercifully, graciously, tenderly, taken me by the hand and led me forward in the right direction. His direction. And, in so doing, He has given me opportunities I didn’t deserve to have and this time to get it right. Can you relate? If yes, please, please, please be thankful to the Lord for His tender love and mercy in all this!
Please note in these verses what Jesus says at the end to the people to whom He has given miracles. He hasn’t given up on them! He gives them another opportunity in life, doesn’t He? I encourage you to look up their full stories in the Bible!
