Are You Glorifying God?

I was thinking about doing something when the Holy Spirit interrupted my thoughts.

“How does that glorify me?” He asked me.

His message to me was plain and clear. What I was thinking about doing in the way I was thinking about doing it at that time anyway would not have pleased and honored Him, would not have brought Him praise, honor, joy, and pleasure, would not have made Him happy, would not have been His will, and would not have glorified Him.

I faced a decision. Glorify God or not. Because Jesus Christ is Lord, because I love Him with all my heart, because those who love the Lord are to obey the Lord, I chose to do God’s will not mine.

Jesus Christ is Lord and died on the cross and was raised from the dead to pay our sin penalty so all who turn from our sins, believe in Him as Lord and in His death and resurrection, and turn to God and His ways are forgiven, promised a forever relationship with God, and the Holy Spirit comes to live in us. We are thus born again spiritually and saved from God’s wrath, death, hell, and the lake of fire. We are bought with the price of Jesus’ shed blood and now belong to God forever.

All we think, say, and do should bring love, praise, honor, pleasure, joy, and glory to God! And when God shows us that it does not, we should humble ourselves before Him and turn to the Lord and His will for us ever desirous, dedicated, and devoted to loving, praising, worshiping, and glorifying God now and forever and ever, AMEN!

I encourage you to pay attention to what you think, say, and do. Are you glorifying God?
