Are you sacrificing enough for the Lord? Are you sacrificing enough for others? God’s people are to be people of love, giving, generosity, kindness, serving, forgiveness, mercy, compassion, and so very much more – including sacrifice. All modeled after Jesus Himself.
We are to be people of sacrifice. What are you sacrificing for the Lord? What are you sacrificing for others? Are you sacrificing enough? We are not to live for ourselves. We are to live for Jesus. We are to love the Lord with every ounce of our hearts and to love others as ourselves. This involves sacrifice. So where do you stand, friend, in the way of sacrifice?
The best way to answer these questions is to go before the Lord in prayer. Seek Him. Ask Him. Spend time alone with Him daily. Read the Bible daily. Surrender yourself utterly to Him. Be totally devoted to Him. His Spirit who lives inside His people will lead you according to His ways. Including when it comes to sacrifice.
Does the Lord want you to sacrifice more than you are sacrificing for Him? And for others? Ask Him! Pray for wisdom. He promises to give us wisdom when we ask Him in faith. Ask in faith. Hear His answer. And make any and all necessary adjustments in your life to make the sacrifices He calls you to make. For His glory, YES!
And please consider this. In the Bible, praise is considered a sacrifice! Are you praising the Lord on a continual basis? As you seek the Lord regarding any and all sacrifices He wants you to make for Him and others, please remember now – and going forward – to PRAISE THE LORD!
“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.” Romans 12:1
“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.”
“Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.” Hebrews 13:15
