God in His amazing love knew my 56th birthday this morning started off with some sadness over some things and being far away from close friends and family in my life on the road for the Lord Jesus Christ. I am ever in awe how God knows every detail of our lives, can do absolutely anything, and can orchestrate everything from A to Z much of which we cannot even imagine.
I was sent a strong warning and yucky penalty fee for a highway toll I had driven through accidentally in the wrong lane. I called early in the morning and as is so often the case in this day and age waited on hold for so very long.
When I thanked the young man who eventually picked up the phone to help me for his kindness, we entered into a conversation for a few minutes. In my usual chattiness I mentioned my birthday for some reason. Turns out today was his little girl’s 7th birthday, and on my 56th birthday being the same day I had the great pleasure of praying for him, his little “birthday” girl, and her mother.
No matter how hard and bad this world can be given how many people are living with their backs turned to God, still in the midst of it all He bestows upon us the sweetest of blessings over and again.
God gave me a few more beautiful blessings on this my birthday along with my greatest blessing of all – the Lord Jesus Christ and my relationship with Him forevermore!
Let us go out of our way to recognize our blessings, to enjoy them, to thank the Lord for them, and to share about God and His goodness and His blessings with others!
