Stop pushing them away! Who? The people God sends to help you start a relationship with Him, to return to Him if you have turned away from Him, to go forward in your relationship with Him, to address some sins and struggles in your life He wants you to be free from and overcome, or for any other reason.
Many a time earlier in my relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ I pushed away those God sent to help me especially those He sent to confront and challenge me to grow in certain areas of my life.
Pride. Rebellion. Fear. Craving comfort not challenge. Loving sin more than loving God. Not wanting to give up self-centered pleasure to please and honor Jesus. Worry over what people think of us. Shame. Whatever our reasons – and sins – sometimes we push away those God sends to help us.
Let us humble ourselves, yield ourselves to God almighty, and allow those He sends to help us according to His will.
And let us be thankful that in His love for us He sends the help we need!
