When I discovered the hotel dryer was still not working well, I stuffed my washed but un-dried clothes in my big grey laundry bags, hauled them off and into my car, and drove off to a seeming random laundromat about 25 minutes away in a different town where I planned to dry the clothes and do some stuff in that town.
The “random” laundromat wasn’t so “random”. Turns out God had a plan.
As I chatted with a fellow customer who helped me figure out how to use the rather old dryer, I realized God had led me right to her to encourage her and pray for her regarding a super big life issue.
When our hearts and lives are surrendered to the Lord Jesus Christ, we are blessed with endless opportunities for God to use us to love, bless, pray for, share the Gospel with, help, support, and minister to others in His name!
The dryer worked beautifully, but the real beauty was seeing once again how awesome are the love, grace, mercy, wisdom, kindness, and goodness of God and how He uses His children to love and bless others!
“Jesus answered him, “The first of all the commandments is: ‘HEAR, O ISRAEL, THE LORD OUR GOD, THE LORD IS ONE. AND YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, WITH ALL YOUR MIND, AND WITH ALL YOUR STRENGTH.’ This is the first commandment. And the second, like it, is this: ‘YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”
