But That Looks So Tempting!

I knew what God wanted me to do. I had prayed and prayed and sought Him and heard Him and sought Him more to be sure and felt really clear about His will for me with something super big in my life and ministry. But one day I saw a flyer advertising something that seemed like it could be a really good alternative to God’s will.

Seemed my life could be so much easier, comfortable, more manageable, and that there would be way fewer risks and challenges if I lay God’s will aside and fell for the temptation being advertised.

The Holy Spirit almost immediately brought strong conviction. I knew what to do. My life is not mine anymore. It belongs to the Lord Jesus Christ. I no longer live for self. I live for God.

I would continue down God’s pathway of righteousness – of His ways and of His will for me. And I would rely on God and His Holy Spirit and His Word, the Bible, to keep me on the right path. His. The narrow one, yes. The right one. His. For His name’s sake. Amen!

Friend, please don’t walk down the broad pathway of this world. Please turn from your sins, believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and in His death and resurrection, turn to God and His ways, receive the promise of forever life with God, and walk down His pathway of righteousness as you love and serve the Lord with every ounce of your heart, Amen, Hallelujah, AMEN!

When temptation comes, turn away from it in the strength of Christ for the glory of Christ and continue down the Lord’s pathway. Even as so much of this world lives with its back turned to God walking down the pathway of wickedness and rebellion against God, you may feel oh, but there are so few it seems who walk down God’s narrow pathway. But remember, friend, you will not walk His pathway alone. Walk in the presence of God almighty, AMEN!
