I was gentle with the man. I was loving with him. I was kind with him. But in my gentleness, and in my loving, and in my kindness, I failed to mention something vitally important. So important, in fact, that he could literally lose his life, his future, and his eternity over it. Thankfully, a brother in Christ stepped into our conversation and told him the truth I neglected to mention.
The truth? Tomorrow may be too late.
If you’ve been hemming and hawing about God, if you’ve been thinking about finding out who Jesus is and what He did for you, if you’ve been thinking about repenting, if you’ve been considering confessing Jesus as Lord, if you’ve been thinking of picking up the Bible and learning to live by it, let me tell you something. You’re not hemming and hawing about joining a gym, losing weight, getting in shape, changing jobs, asking a woman out on a date, giving your kid a new bicycle, taking a vacation.
No, you’re not hemming and hawing about something that at the end of the day is neither here nor there. You are hemming and hawing about your ETERNITY – about whether you will spend eternity in HEAVEN or HELL. And you are hemming and hawing about your life on earth – whether you will live the ABUNDANT LIFE Jesus died for you to have on earth, or the life that will continue to fall far short of God’s best for you – and for Him.
Please don’t let tomorrow be too late……….
If you don’t know much about Jesus, or you know much but haven’t figured out what to do about Him, or you met Him long ago but have no relationship with Him, if you used to follow Him but have turned away, if you’re curious, if you’re hungry, if you’re lost, if you’re broken, if you don’t want tomorrow to be too late and you need some help figuring all of this out, please do not hesitate to call me at 843-338-2219 or to e-mail me at love@walkbyfaithministry.com.
Let today be the day of salvation………….
“…that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; 10for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. 11For the Scripture says, “WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.” Romans 10: 9-11 NASB
