I Stand Corrected

Enough whining. God has been speaking to me in a stern voice over the past few days, not at all for the first time. Whine. Whine. Sniff. Sniff. But God, aren’t you supposed to be sweet and kind and loving?

Answer? God is sweet and kind and loving. God is also tough and stern and serious when He needs to be. As He has reminded me, if I would submit and obey without resistance and rebellion (and whining), He would not need to be stern.

But God is the perfect Father. He means business. He says what He means, and He means what He says. And He always stands behind His Word. Why should I expect any less? What would I want any less?

God reminds me, and you, to not despise His chastening. He wants the best for His children, and for our relationship with Him. For this, He requires obedience. And when I, and you, fall short, He is always happy to remind us.
Job 5:17 KJV “Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth: therefore despise not thou the chastening of the Almight.”

IS GOD CORRECTING YOU? PAY ATTENTION. ARE YOU WILLING TO OBEY, OR ARE YOU STILL REBELLING? ARE YOU PAYING THE PRICE FOR REBELLION, OR REAPING THE REWARDS OF OBEDIENCE, MOST IMPORTANTLY DEEPER INTIMACY WITH THE LORD?

I know that you have a variety of demands on your own program hence the fact that you took all the time just like you did to guide people just like us by means of this article is also highly valued.
