Do It With Kindness

You may have to tell someone something difficult. You may need to confront someone. You may be called by God to help bring correction into someone’s life. You may be led by the Lord Jesus Christ to help someone grow. You may need to fire someone from a job. Or break off a relationship with someone. Or leave a church congregation. Or tell someone what the person has done is wrong. Or reject someone’s request for help with something. Or a zillion other things.

Whatever it may be God has called you to do, do it with love and kindness. Do it with grace and gentleness. Do it with respect and courtesy. Do it with mercy and wisdom. Do it with humility.

When all is said and done, may it be said of you that you spoke and acted with the love of the Lord Jesus Christ – and kindness like Jesus is kind.

Please be kind.

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.” Galatians 5:22-23 NKJV

“But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.” 2 Peter 1:5-8 NKJV
