Does This Please God?

Ever stop to consider whether what you are doing pleases God? If your thoughts, words, and actions are pleasing to Him? If you are pleasing God in your everyday life?

If your relationships please Him? If your entertainment does? If your decisions do? If how you treat your animals does? If how you treat the poor, hungry, hurting, and broken does? If how you treat people in general does? If what you do when you mess up and sin against Him does? If your work does? If your hobbies do? If your reading material does? If what you watch on television and look at on the computer does?

If your social life does? If your eating and health habits do? If how you spend your free time does? If your money spending does? If how you speak to people does? If your attitude does? If how you treat your family does? If your faith in God and the level of your faith and trust and hope and confidence in Him do?

Bottom line question. Are your heart and life pleasing to God almighty?

I encourage you with all my heart to consider this on a regular basis. Believers in Jesus Christ as Lord are not merely to believe in Him. We are to LIVE FOR JESUS and no longer for self. Day in and day out we should yearn and strive to please the Lord in every aspect and area of the lives with which the Lord has so blessedly entrusted us.

How do we know what pleases God? The Lord tells us in the Bible what pleases Him and what does not. And for that which is not specifically mentioned in the Bible, we can pray to Him, seek Him, wait on Him, and trust He by His Holy Spirit who lives in His followers will make known to us in what ways we are pleasing Him and in what ways we are not. And we can seek counsel from His followers who are strongly grounded in the Bible to help us stay on course in pleasing the Lord God almighty, AMEN!

May we be totally devoted to the Lord now and forever, AMEN!

“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” Hebrews 11:6

“Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties; And see if there is any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting.” Psalm 139:23-24

“Finally then, brethren, we urge and exhort in the Lord Jesus that you should abound more and more, just as you received from us how you ought to walk and to please God;” 1 Thessalonians 4:1
