Don’t Get Caught Up in Drama

I know all about being a drama queen. I was one for decades. Drama this. Drama that. I got caught up in lots of other people’s drama, and I continually created tons of my own and dragged anyone I could into it. Drama is dangerous, and here is why.

The devil comes to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), and he uses drama to tempt us, distract us, get us off course, get our focus off the Lord, lure us into being self-absorbed, live for self instead of for the Lord, fail to love the Lord with all our hearts and to love others, disobey God, be prideful, get us to distract others from God, and on and on. But we can’t blame the devil. We’re responsible for taking the devil’s bait and getting caught up in drama – or not.

This very day as I write this, by God’s grace alone, I am choosing to not get caught up in some big drama around me. This is in obedience to God in His strength not in my weakness. Because I am not getting involved in the drama, I am free to love, serve, and worship the Lord with all my heart! Goodbye drama, hello Jesus!

Want to join me? Let us strive daily to humble ourselves and stay out of the drama and stay on God’s pathway of righteousness. Amen!

“You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You.” Isaiah 26:3 NKJV

“He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake.” Psalms 23:3 NKJV

“But let none of you suffer as a murderer, a thief, an evildoer, or as a busybody in other people’s matters.” 1 Peter 4:15 NKJV
