Don’t Hide & Hold Back

Are you HIDING in your heart the goodness, greatness, wondrousness, gloriousness, awesomeness, amazingness, magnificence, splendor, loveliness, lovingkindness, etc. of the Lord and HOLDING BACK from telling the world about Him? If you are, please don’t!

Please read these words from the psalmist before I share with you this powerful message the Lord placed on my heart for you who are led to read this.

“I have proclaimed the good news of righteousness In the great assembly; Indeed, I do not restrain my lips, O LORD, You Yourself know. I have not hidden Your righteousness within my heart; I have declared Your faithfulness and Your salvation; I have not concealed Your lovingkindness and Your truth From the great assembly.” Psalm 40:9-10

The psalmist says he has not HIDDEN God’s righteousness. He also says he has not CONCEALED (hidden) God’s lovingkindness and truth. What has he done instead? PROCLAIMED the GOOD NEWS of God’s righteousness. And? He has DECLARED God’s faithfulness and salvation. Has he shut his lips and held back from telling the world about the Lord? NO! Has he talked to just one person about the Lord? NO! He has proclaimed the Lord to the “great assembly”!

Friend, we MUST NOT HOLD BACK from telling the world about the Lord Jesus Christ, that He is God, that He came to this earth in the flesh, died on the cross to pay our sin penalty of death, hell, and the lake of fire in forever torment, and was raised from the dead. That when we turn from our sins, believe in Christ as Lord and in His death and resurrection, truly turning our lives over to God and His ways, we are forgiven, promised forever life with God, indwelt by God’s Holy Spirit, and are to go forth living for Jesus no longer for ourselves.

And we MUST NOT HIDE IN OUR HEARTS AND HOLD BACK from telling others about the awesomeness and amazingness and glory of the Lord not only concerning His death and resurrection but concerning every way in which He and His Spirit, love, power, mercy, grace, truth, promises, Word, sovereignty, hope, blessings, provision, blessedness, etc. shine in our lives and throughout this world and into eternity!

In my ministry work, I am continually interacting with the general public including people calling themselves Christians. I am astounded at how rarely I hear people talk about the Lord. Yet people have no trouble talking about anything and everything but the Lord. The Lord is to be our first and greatest love and priority, and our hearts and words should burst forth with excitedly and passionately and devotedly proclaiming Him!

Oh, friend, proclaim the Lord to the world! Each and every day, live to love, worship, serve, praise, adore, honor, and glorify the Lord and to tell the world about Him! Hallelujah! Amen!

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.” Romans 1:16

“”Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven. But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven.” Matthew 10:32-33
