Sometimes it’s when we’re finally getting closer and closer to where the Lord has been leading us that we grow weary, frustrated, discouraged, downhearted, fearful, disappointed, disgusted, bogged down in negative thoughts and bothersome troublesome emotions, and flat out quit. Or think of quitting. Or get tempted to turn in the wrong direction. Get off course in one way or another. Even start going backward. Or think of doing so anyway. I was reminded of this one morning when at long last by God’s grace alone I was finally making serious progress in something He was leading me to do. And I knew this message wasn’t just for me. It is probably for countless others. Maybe even you.
Let me share with you a few Bible verses which are so encouraging to me, and may you go before the Lord, pray to Him, seek His face, seek His strength and mercy, get recharged, read the Bible, spend time loving and praising the Lord and receiving His wisdom and direction and enjoying His fellowship, and carry on following Him as His Holy Spirit who lives inside His followers leads you forth! Hallelujah!
Dear God, a simple prayer. Oh, God, help us all to press on, dear Father! Thank you, oh Lord, AMEN!
“Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” Isaiah 40:30-31 KJV
“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” Galatians 6:9 KJV
“Seek the LORD and his strength, seek his face continually.” 1 Chronicles 16:11 KJV
“Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 3:13-14 KJV
“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” Philippians 4:13 KJV
