God wants us to love, praise, honor, serve, obey, worship, sing to, give thanks to, glorify, and rejoice in and about Him now and forever. God deserves this, He is worthy of this, this blesses Him, and it feels absolutely amazing to do this. But while rejoicing in the Lord may come naturally when life is easy, comfortable, and going well, we may be prone to stop rejoicing when our life’s circumstances are hard and we are struggling.
We are told in the Bible to rejoice ALWAYS, but how can we rejoice, praise, worship, give thanks to, and bless the Lord etc. when our flesh wants to do anything but this?
- Fix your attention on the Lord Jesus Christ and the Bible and not on your trials
- Pour out your heart to God (Psalm 62:8), repent of any and all wrong thoughts, words, and actions, and cry out to Him in prayer
- With your heart and eyes focused on the Lord, make the decision to rejoice in Him and love, praise, worship, give thanks to, bless, obey, sing to, and glorify Him no matter your circumstances
You will bring joy to God in rejoicing etc., and I believe you will be blessed beyond measure!
Please, friend, REJOICE. And no matter what, don’t stop rejoicing! Hallelujah!
“I will bless the LORD at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.” Psalms 34:1 NKJV
“Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!” Philippians 4:4 NKJV
