The Lord compelled me to get on my knees before I left my motel room to sit in the sunshine and write. I resisted. Then I relented as I should have in the first place without resistance – and went one step further. I got on my knees. Then on my face. I leaned my face down to the floor. I repented. For my bad attitude, impatience, and temper. He forgave me. Cleaned me. And gave me a fresh start for the day – and for the rest of my life. He washed away my despicable sin.
Need to humble yourself before God? To go to your knees? To your face? And seek the Lord God almighty’s love, mercy, and forgiveness? To turn from your sin and turn to the Lord and His ways? Please do!
Father, in your mercy and grace, bring the conviction, correction, and chastening when we need it. And forgive us, oh Lord! Amen! Thank you for your amazing mercy, oh Lord! Amen! Yes! Amen!
“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9
“My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord,
Nor detest His correction;
For whom the Lord loves He corrects,
Just as a father the son in whom he delights.” 1 John 3:11-12
