“Forgive and let go,” the Holy Spirit spoke to my heart.
“Okay God,” I replied.
Miraculous for several reasons.
One, I live for God today.
Two, I am filled with His Holy Spirit and hear Him when He speaks and read the Bible daily and know to check what I hear against the Bible because God only and always speaks in line with it. Forgiveness is most assuredly in the Bible! Here is just one plain and clear and powerful example!
“And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors…”For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.” Matthew 6:12-15
Three, I have the Lord to show me when I need to forgive because truthfully it can be relatively easy for us to convince ourselves we don’t hold anything against someone when in fact we do. Or to simply not even realize we harbor ill will toward someone in our hearts.
Fourth, I didn’t rebel against God when He spoke as I did in the past.
Fifth, I know God will give me the ability and strength to forgive anyone for anything when I surrender myself to Him.
Forgiveness isn’t always easy. Sometimes it’s unfathomably hard. But God who commands us to forgive when we turn to Him enables us to forgive in obedience to Him.
Please note what the Lord told me. Forgive, yes. And let go. Sometimes we forgive but still hold on to some aspect or aspects of what happened. I believe the Lord wants us to forgive, to let go, and to be free to move on as His Holy Spirit leads we who follow Him forth!
Need to forgive? And let go? Make the decision and do it.
Oh, Lord God, for everyone who ever reads this message, bring to light anything in their hearts and lives where forgiveness is needed. Give them the desire to obey you and the ability to do so. Help them to forgive and let go, oh Lord, and use them to encourage others to do the same. For your glory, oh Lord, AMEN!
Let us love the Lord with ALL our hearts. Let us love one another. And let us forgive whenever we need to forgive. Oh, praise the Lord! Bless the Lord! Amen!
