“Why am I going to [such and such a place]?” I asked as I walked at high speed down the sidewalk aside the highway in coastal South Carolina.
“Because I am sending you,” the Holy Spirit spoke matter-of-factly to my heart.
Need the Lord say more? No! Enough said. God had spoken.
Friend, when God sends us somewhere, we don’t need to know why, understand why, agree with what God is doing, like what God is doing, want what God is doing, etc. We simply need to go BECAUSE JESUS CHRIST IS LORD AND WE ARE TO LIVE FOR HIM NOT FOR SELF.
God loves us, we are to love God in return, and we are to obey God in our love for God. Again, enough said!
If you are clear God is sending you somewhere, GO. In the strength of Christ for the glory of Christ. Period. End of conversation. Enough said.
Jesus is Lord forever and ever, and we are to humble ourselves and lovingly, faithfully, and devotedly follow Him as we live to love and serve Him with all our hearts, AMEN!
The following verse came to mind as I finished this message. But why? I believe because God is speaking to my heart we should be JOYFUL in faithfully following Him – wherever He sends us, Hallelujah! Praise the Lord! Amen!
“I will sing of the mercies of the LORD forever; With my mouth will I make known Your faithfulness to all generations.” Psalms 89:1
Oh, Father, help us to be your faithful followers and to be loving, joyful, humble, and totally devoted to you in the process! Help us submit to you with honor, reverence, and praise and worship of which you are always worthy! Amen!
