God Hears My Cries!

I was singing joyfully to the Lord in my usual fashion of making up little songs to sing to Him when I heard myself essentially singing to Him how thankful I was for how He hears my cries. I am not in any way gifted in song, but those words that poured forth from my heart and mouth were so powerful to me. So true. So worth repeating. So worth sharing with you.

Please think about it. The Creator of the universe, Lord of Lords, King of Kings, God almighty, He hears the cries of His people. He hears us when we pour out our hearts to Him. He hears us when we cry out to Him with hurt, with grief, with desperation, with pleas for wisdom and direction, with yearning for more of His love and fellowship, with thirst for help living righteously, with hunger for holiness, with deep desire for mercy and forgiveness, with great need for provision, with standing in the gap as we pray for others in dire need, with prayers for people all around the world, etc. Oh, yes, He hears the cries of His people! Oh, how wonderful is the Lord! Oh, should not we not thank Him and thank Him and thank Him for hearing the cries of His followers? Most assuredly, YES!

“In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears.” Psalms 18:6 KJV

“I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.” Psalms 40:1 KJV

“Nevertheless he regarded their affliction, when he heard their cry:” Psalms 106:44 KJV
