“God help everyone!” I prayed in my exasperation.
As the world’s woes worsen due to countless people living in rebellion against the Lord Jesus Christ, as hard stuff and suffering appear to be at an all-time high, seems there are endless opportunities to pray for people and about situations.
To the point it can seem totally overwhelming and impossible to keep up with all the prayer needs.
But a quick exasperated prayer of course is NOT the answer.
What then is?
First, pray on an ongoing basis.
Second, trust God to lead us in prayer. To put on our hearts whom to pray for. And when to pray. And what to pray. To yield ourselves to the Holy Spirit of God who lives inside followers of the Lord Jesus Christ. Believing the Holy Spirit will guide us in prayer.
Oh, sure, people may ask us to pray for them. And people may ask us to pray for others. But above all else we can trust God to help us to pray according to His will.
Oh, friend, PRAY! Pray, pray, and keep on praying! Amen!
“Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.” 1 John 5:14-15 NKJV
“Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving;” Colossians 4:2 NKJV
“pray without ceasing,” 1 Thessalonians 5:17 NKJV
