If you have ever been violently assaulted as I was just months ago while doing my ministry work in New York City, at which time God miraculously saved me from serious injury or death in an extremely violent unprecipitated attack that came without warning, rest assured life is never quite the same. My heart, eyes, and ears are hyper aware of my surroundings, and this on top of the fact God has gifted me in discernment to begin with. I just didn’t expect that He would miraculously save me again in such a short period of time. This very night in fact as I write this.
I was walking down the beach to get fresh air and spend time with the Lord and not feeling up to par given a sinus infection and lots of recent spiritual attack when I noticed the tide was too high for a good long walk. So I came off the beach and began walking down the sidewalk in the beach town where God sent me not long ago to set up a ministry base.
The town for the most part on the side where I am staying is seemingly very safe with plenty of people around. I was walking by a place where people were playing a sport when suddenly a small group of people seemed to come out of nowhere as though they were on a very clear and powerful mission. A pure evil one mind you. They looked like part of a gang or some sort of group intending big harm anyway.
Suddenly a man playing the sport called out to me through a fence and made clear he wanted me to come speak with him. When I walked up to him, he issued me a very strong warning and helped me figure out which would be the safest way to exit the area without being harmed. Quite the challenge considering the people on an evil mission were quickly scattering to do whatever they had come to do. I had a horrible feeling, and by God’s grace the man would not stop helping me until his mission to help me was accomplished. He would not walk away from me until he knew I was safe.
He directed me to stay with him and talk to him through the fence to be safe until he could figure out where I could go to get away. We felt I should go one way, but he saw quickly that way wouldn’t be safe either as the people intending evil seemed to change direction. So he had me wait with him, engaging me in conversation through the fence until he knew the next step to give me.
Then he made clear how I should get out of the area. And off I went. As I walked away, the man behind the fence called out to another woman who was by her car and clearly in harm’s way. He had moved on in his next mission. To help another stranger to stay safe in an ever-more evil world in which countless people have their backs turned to God and are wreaking havoc in others’ lives.
I believe God sent him. There are spiritual angels, and I believe there are human angels. Biblically speaking an angel is a messenger from God. When I was violently assaulted in New York City and came out of the attack with a crowd around me, one very tall man with curly hair I now think of as my angel had anguish and extreme care and compassion on his face as he called out to me to make sure I was okay and to see if I needed help. This time around, God sent another man to help bring me to safety.
I praise God almighty for all the times throughout my life He has kept me from harm, delivered me to safety, brought me to freedom, helped and healed me, and, most of all, kept me from eternity in hell and the lake of fire by bringing me into His forever Kingdom through faith in and a life devoted to the Lord Jesus Christ who died on the cross to pay the sin penalty of humanity and whom God the Father raised from the dead.
This message comes with a very strong encouragement, friend. For far too much of my life even once I came to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, I neglected to see and acknowledge and give God praise, honor, and glory for my entire life His loving me, blessing me, helping me, providing for me, and protecting me. And for all the “angels” He has sent me along the way to help me along.
Please, I beg of you, make it a continual practice to see the love and goodness of God on a daily basis and to express to Him evermore thanksgiving, praise, and worship. For the glory of Christ, AMEN!
““I will bless the LORD at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.” Psalms 34:1 NKJV
“…Make a joyful shout to the LORD, all you lands! Serve the LORD with gladness; Come before His presence with singing. Know that the LORD, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. For the LORD is good; His mercy is everlasting, And His truth endures to all generations.” Psalms 100:1-5 NKJV
