God’s love is so unfathomably wonderfully marvelously magnificently phenomenally beautifully fabulously endlessly incredible and never fails (1 Cor. 13:8) and goes on forever such that any aspect and expression of it we can see and feel is nothing compared with the immeasurability of it, but how blessed it is when we get glimpses and tastes of the blissfulness and splendor of it as we journey through our lives on this earth. Truthfully, and sadly, there is likely so very much on a daily basis we miss in witnessing and experiencing and enjoying and acknowledging and thanking Him for His love bestowed upon us day by day because we tend to be so busy and focused on our circumstances, our challenges, the people in our lives, the details of our lives, ourselves, our responsibilities, this, that, and the other.
This is so sad for ourselves, isn’t it, that we would miss so much of His love, it is sad for others because we then fail to give testimony to them of God’s love, and it is saddest I believe for God because of our failure to sufficiently thank Him for His love for us not to mention to experience and enjoy His wondrously rich and phenomenal love and to share it with others. How would you feel if you gave someone an absolutely astonishingly incredibly amazing gift only to find the person gave it no regard, didn’t acknowledge it, didn’t notice it, didn’t thank you for it, didn’t make use of it, etc.?
What if you and I resolved from here forward to purpose it in our hearts to do our very best to recognize and enjoy and praise God for His love and to share about His love with others on a regular basis? This is something I desire to do. How about you?
Oh, God, your love never fails just as your Word says. There is no way to measure your love as it goes on forever. You are love (1 John 4:16) as your Word says, dear Father. Your love for your children is astounding. The love expressed in your sacrificing your only Son Jesus and sending Him to the cross for us and raising Him from the dead to make a way, the only way, for us to have a forever relationship with you, if this were the only thing you ever did to express your love for us, forever wouldn’t be enough to thank and praise and worship and glorify you for this. Yet your love goes on and on from there, and keeps going on. Oh, praise you God, oh Lord, forgive us for failing to see your love, to enjoy your love, to thank you for your love, so much of the time. At least I can say that for myself. Oh, God, please dear Father, help us to keep our eyes and ears and hearts wide open as we journey through this life to witness and experience your love. May we praise you over and again, day after day, now and forever, for you, oh Lord, and for your glorious love, thank you dear God, amen! Thank you, oh Jesus, AMEN!
“For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38-39 KJV
“For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.” Ephesians 3:14-19 KJV
