Every once in a while God gives me a personal message so powerful, so clear, so emphatic, so convicting, and so life-changing that I feel compelled to share it with others with the exact words His Spirit spoke to my heart. I pray in Jesus’ name that He will use this message as mightily in your heart and life as I desire Him to do so in mine. Please read it slowly. Carefully. Please don’t leave the message behind as simply something you read that can now be forgotten. Please take the message with you – and live it. For the glory of God almighty!
Whenever you read or hear or think something and believe it’s from God, ALWAYS please measure it against the Word of God. God always and only speaks in line with the Bible, so if there is anything that runs contrary to the Bible, it’s not from God. Go to His Word when He leads you to do so and find verses like the ones to follow to help you discern if the message is in fact from Him.
“But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.” James 1:22
“Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: For which things’ sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:” Col. 3:5-6 KJV
“And God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM.”…” Exodus 3:14
“Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.” 1 John 1:7-8
“Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing.
Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails…” 1 Cor. 13:1-8
You have studied [the Bible]. Now do.
Do what love does.
Don’t do what love doesn’t.
Don’t let people cause you not to love.
Love without any conditions at all.
Do not react to their sin.
No matter how they treat you love them.
Do you see?
This is what I want you to do.
Let them see me in the way you love them.
Love them no matter the cost.
“Do not be provoked” to not love.
Love is my nature.
Love must be yours.
I am in you. [the Spirit of God lives inside those who turn from their sins and believe in Christ as Lord].
Do not stop me from loving through you.
Mortify your sin.
Die to self.
Let me live.
Let me reign.
Be my vessel.
Be a vessel of love.
