Sometimes the Lord leads us to a new place or opportunity or relationship or neighborhood or whatever or wherever with very clear directions and a strong sense of understanding and purpose. We know where we’re going because He has made it clear to us. Other times, He tells us nothing at all other than to go. Should we only go when we have all our plans in place, when we know everything that will come to pass, when we understand our mission fully, etc.? No!
We should always go when the Lord tells us to go no matter what He does or doesn’t tell us in advance. We should go in obedience to Him with trust and faith in Him seeking Him to lead us, to provide for us, and to guide us, and to bring His purpose to pass.
In the Bible, we see the Lord send some people out with a clear understanding. Other times, as with Abraham as we see in the verse below, He simply sends them.
Have the sense the Lord is sending you somewhere, to something, or to someone? If it’s His will, in His time, in His strength, with Him leading, for His glory, GO!
“By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going.” Hebrews 11:8
