Dear friend, ………
EXCITING NEWS! Even as the Lord leads me forward in my ministry work in New York City, He has placed on my heart that He is leading me out of New York City in the not too distant future and on to other locations! I am ecstatic! Oh, sure, it’s bittersweet. I LOVE being in New York City for ministry. It’s an AMAZING opportunity for endless ministry.
But the Lord placed strongly on my heart that THE ENTIRE WORLD needs help in finding and forever following Him. And ALL OF AMERICA needs help in finding and following Him. And while many people come to New York City to do ministry work, there are people all over America that need help concerning Jesus also! Small towns, big cities, places nearby, places far away, the North, the South, the East, the West. ALL OVER THIS NATION!
I believe some of these places and people get overlooked because they don’t have the big city names like New York City. But the Lord cares just as much about the poor widow in rural Idaho as he cares about the street gang members in Chicago. And the opioid addicted prostitutes in small towns in West Virginia need to hear about Jesus just as much as the actors and actresses in Hollywood, California.
I am so in love with Jesus, and so devoted to Him, and so love people, and so desire to tell the whole world about Jesus that I will go where the Lord sends me when He sends me to bring the messages He wants me to deliver.
And I thank the Lord not only does He send me out in person to people around the country, but that He uses the Internet mightily to use my writing and videos to reach people as well. Oh, such a heart I have for my Jesus! Oh, such a heart I have for this world to know, love, adore, worship, serve, and glorify Him forever and ever!
PLEASE PRAY FOR ME! I have had exceedingly little physical and financial help and support over the past few years. I have been exhausted much of the time. But my trust is in the Lord Jesus Christ, I am pressing on in His name for His glory, and your prayers are greatly appreciated!
Please ENJOY today’s FOUR new devotionals below hot off the press from my heart to yours!
love & blessings,
A Powerful Message from GOD!
ALL messages from God are powerful whether He delivers them to us straight from the Bible or speaks to our hearts by His Spirit which He always does in line with the Bible. But for me, some messages are louder and stronger than others. Like this one which I believe with all my heart is for us all.
The Lord spoke this to my heart one morning before I got started going forward in the day.
“Today marks the beginning of the rest of your life. What will you do with it? Will you be entirely devoted to me? Will you put your entire trust in me? Will you be entirely faithful? Will you live your life now with a total consecration to me? Will I be your number one love? It is your choice. Will you faithfully follow me this day and for always? You have a choice. Choose life. Choose me. Be totally devoted to me…”
Friend, the Holy Spirit only and always speaks in line with the Bible, so we MUST check what we believe we hear from the Lord to see if it lines up. Does this message line up? Read the Bible from start to finish and throughout you will see how exceedingly emphatic the Lord God almighty is that we devote our lives entirely to Him through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
The Lord can’t stand lukewarm believers in Him. That’s exactly how I used to be. I called Him Lord, prayed when I felt like it and wanted something, and carried on ruling and reigning in what I thought was my own life. Now I understand I belong to Jesus, and I am totally sold out to Him. I am wholly His.
Please take this message to heart. Examine your life. Are your thoughts, words, and actions an indicator that you are utterly devoted to Christ? If not, right now, please my friend, hand your heart and life over entirely to Christ. For this day. And forevermore!
Oh my Lord, please Father, take every person you want to read this message and bring them right to it. But please don’t let them just skim over the words and hurry on with their lives. Bring strong conviction, Father, as you have in my own life, that lukewarm does not please you. Lead them to repentance if they are halfhearted about you, dear Lord. Turn them into sold out followers of you. Help them to be totally devoted. And show them the beauty and joy of living utterly for you! Yes, Lord, it is HARD on the human flesh for us to deny ourselves and live according to your ways which are so contrary to the world’s ways, but I pray every person you bring to this message would understand that the sacrifice we make in living for you is nothing compared with the magnificence of belonging to you forevermore. Thank you, Lord, AMEN!
““And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write,
‘These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God: “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.” Revelation 3:14-16
Use Me God But –
“Fill me with your Spirit and use me for your glory,” I have prayed over and again to the Lord over the years.
Jesus Christ is Lord. I love the Lord with all my heart. I want to serve Him because He is Lord, because He calls us to love and serve Him, and because of my ever-growing love for Him. I want to express my love for Him in my service to Him. I want to be used by the Lord to help build His Kingdom of followers and to love, help, and encourage His followers because of my love for Him and my love for people.
I am sure I am not alone in the desire to be used by the Lord. We SHOULD want to serve the Lord. We SHOULD want to be used by the Lord. But. But? Yes, but. We need to be CAREFUL. For sometimes we say we want to be used by the Lord but we put restrictions on our service to Him.
We want to be used by the Lord BUT we don’t want to go to a certain place. We don’t want to do a certain thing. We don’t want to go somewhere new. We don’t want to go talk to those people over there. We don’t want to sweat. We don’t want to labor. We don’t want to miss our favorite sports game. We don’t want to sacrifice our time and paycheck. We don’t want to humble ourselves. We don’t want others to laugh at us. We don’t want to take the risks. Whatever the reasons, we find excuses such that we end up essentially saying, “Lord, use me BUT…”
Friend, we are to surrender ourselves utterly to the Lord. Entirely. Completely. Without any exception. Without any excuses. We are to be wholly His. Look at Isaiah the prophet’s words in the verse below. Do you see any restrictions? Or does He simply tell the Lord He wants to be sent? Total surrender, isn’t it? How about you and me?
Have you surrendered all to the Lord? Willing to be used by Him no matter His call and no matter the cost? This is the way we are called to live. Totally His. Living for His glory. AMEN!
Lord, for those reading this who already believe in you as Lord, and for myself, fill us with your Holy Spirit and use us for your glory no matter your call and no matter the cost. For those reading this who do not have a forever relationship with you, draw them to yourself, forgive and save them, fill them with your Spirit, and lead them in your ways forevermore. And if I can be a help and encouragement to anyone reading this, cause us to cross paths so I can. I love you, oh Lord! Thank you Father, AMEN!
“Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: “Whom shall I send, And who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.”” Isaiah 6:8
God, Not Now
“Now, not later.” The words were strong. Emphatic. Without any wiggle room. No way to maneuver around the command. See that little three-letter word? NOW? Now!
“Father, I’m in the middle of something,” I told the Lord. Apparently I felt what I was doing was more important than what the Lord was saying. Pride. Arrogance. Selfishness. SIN! Lack of humility, sacrifice, and surrender.
Know what the Holy Spirit spoke to my heart? Oh, does this bear a message for us all!
“You might be in the middle of something, but I am telling you to do this now not later. Obedience acts when I want you to act. Not when you want to act. Not if you want to act. Love obeys. This is what my Word says, does it not? Love doesn’t just obey when it wants. Love obeys when I want,” the Holy Spirit spoke to me. But He wasn’t done.
“Part of obedience is the timing of it. Do you see? I am asking you to do something now, and you want to do it later if you want to do it at all. Obey me now. Learn how to be prompt in your obedience.”
Wow. What an incredible message. LOVE OBEYS. Not in our time. IN HIS TIME. When He says NOW, He means NOW. When He says LATER, He means LATER. The Lord picks the timing of HIS WILL for HIS GLORY.
The Lord had told me months before to clean up my obedience because it was “messy.” This was part of the messiness. The timing of my obedience. The Lord shortly after He gave me the message above took me to the scriptures below. I saw a word I didn’t remember ever noticing before. See the word? NOW! Jesus’ instructions to the servants included the word NOW! And what did the servants do? They obeyed NOW!
Friend, don’t just obey the Lord. Obey Him IN HIS TIME FRAME for HIS GLORY. AMEN!
Oh, Lord, help us to clean up our obedience. Help us to obey you out of hearts filled with love for you. And help us to prioritize, to always put YOU FIRST. And when you give us a command, help us to obey you IN YOUR TIME FRAME. Please Lord, for those of us who have been sloppy in our obedience as I have, please help us to purify ourselves and be more and more pleasing and honoring to you. Lord, help us to be sensitive to your Spirit who tells us your will AND gives us your time frame. When we don’t know the timing, help us to wait on you so that we do. And for those reading this who do not yet have a relationship with you, lead them to you, help them to believe in you as Lord, yes, give them the faith to believe in you, and in your death and resurrection. Help ALL OF US to surrender ALL OF OURSELVES to you holy Father! AMEN!
“And when they ran out of wine, the mother of Jesus said to Him, “They have no wine.”
Jesus said to her, “Woman, what does your concern have to do with Me? My hour has not yet come.” His mother said to the servants, “Whatever He says to you, do it.” Now there were set there six waterpots of stone, according to the manner of purification of the Jews, containing twenty or thirty gallons apiece. Jesus said to them, “Fill the waterpots with water.” And they filled them up to the brim. And He said to them, “Draw some out now, and take it to the master of the feast.” And they took it. When the master of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and did not know where it came from (but the servants who had drawn the water knew), the master of the feast called the bridegroom. And he said to him, “Every man at the beginning sets out the good wine, and when the guests have well drunk, then the inferior. You have kept the good wine until now!” This beginning of signs Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, and manifested His glory; and His disciples believed in Him.” John 2:3-11
Figuring Out the Future
“If you trust me entirely, you don’t need to know the future. You just go step by stop as I lead,” the Lord Jesus Christ spoke to me by His Spirit one morning.
Ever tried to figure out the future? What you will do, where you will be, what will happen, how things will work out, how you will have enough money to pay bills, who will show up, what they will say, what you will do, when you will need to leave, what will happen to that person’s health, how long so-and-so will live, where you will go to get such and such, how your needs will be met, if you will need to do one thing or another, how it will all turn out, how you will feel, etc.? Exhausting, isn’t it? Wearying! Stressful! Worrisome! Distracting! Draining!
And, oh, yes, all stemming from what? LACK OF SUFFICIENT TRUST IN THE LORD JESUS CHRIST and HIS WILL and HIS TIMING and HIS PROVISION and HIS WISDOM and HIS LEADERSHIP and HIS LOVE and HIS DESIRE to TAKE CARE OF HIS FOLLOWERS!
It is absolutely normal and necessary to plan some things in advance WHEN IT IS THE LORD’S WILL TO DO SO, it is fine to daydream and get excited about the future WHEN IT IS THE LORD’S WILL TO DO SO, it is okay to explore options and do research and consider possibilities WHEN IT IS THE LORD’S WILL TO DO SO. Get the point? There is a time and place to look at the future, but we have to be very careful not to find ourselves in a total panic and frenzy and unable to sleep at night and filled with anxiety and get dragged around by fear, etc.
I confess to you I have been prone to worrying for as long as I can remember. I also have an exceeding desire to love and please the Lord and in so doing to figure out where He wants me, what He wants me doing, when to go somewhere, etc. But the Lord reminded me that day I NEED TO TRUST IN HIM. I don’t need to know the whole future. I need to TRUST IN HIM and let HIM LEAD THE WAY!
Maybe you need this reminder right now. Are you obsessed with figuring out the future? Filled with worry? Trying to figure out the next 20 years? TURN TO THE LORD, PUT YOUR TRUST IN THE LORD, PRAY TO THE LORD, SEEK THE LORD, READ THE BIBLE, WAIT ON THE LORD, LISTEN FOR HIS VOICE, and OBEY HIM.
The Bible tells us to cast our cares on Him BECAUSE HE CARES FOR US. The Lord cares about our future! And He will ORDER OUR STEPS. So let us yield our hearts and lives to Him and let HIM LEAD THE WAY! For HIS GLORY, AMEN!
Oh, Lord, how much time I’ve wasted with worrying. Most of the time, I don’t even recognize when I’m doing it because I’m so used to it. Father, forgive us all for all the times we have lacked trust in you. Deepen our faith in you, dear Lord. Grow our trust in you. Be patient and merciful with us, dear Father. You do care about us! You do love us! You do want to lead us step by step into the future. According to your plans. According to your timetable. All for your glory. Teach us to place our trust in you step by step, breath by breath, moment by moment. Teach us your ways, precious master. Thank you for being Lord! Thank you for being sovereign! Thank you for knowing what’s best! Thank you for being so longsuffering with us as we learn how to walk with you! Oh, dear Lord, THANK YOU! AMEN!
“casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:7
“The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, And He delights in his way.” Psalm 37:23
