I am amazed now that my eyes are wide open to see how many times in the Bible the Lord brings to light His desire that we praise Him, worship Him, rejoice in Him, celebrate Him, sing to Him, take joy in Him, play instruments before Him as we experience and enjoy Him and live to love, honor, revere, obey, adore, serve, and glorify Him! Joy, joy, joy! Throughout the Bible, the Lord over and again shows us we are to rejoice, rejoice, and rejoice that Jesus Christ is Lord of Lords, King of Kings, Savior of the world! Today, I remind you to delight (Psalm 37:4) in the Lord & to bring Him pleasure, love, honor, glory, and praise!
I have a zillion little notes with Bible verses for my writing going forward, even as I dive into writing my next two books simultaneously as I believe the Lord is leading me to do, but today I am strongly compelled to share with you a message from the book I just finished writing that I am preparing for publication. You may have already read it as I published it online some time ago, but I invite you and encourage you to read it carefully whether or not you have read it before. I believe it is a message of great love, hope, joy, and inspiration. And I believe it will challenge you to look at where you stand with the Lord Jesus Christ and specifically in the way of hearing – and enjoying and obeying – His beautiful voice!
Please, friend, pray for me if you are so led. I am astounded at how much the Lord is using me in writing and streets, hotel, and beach ministry right now, all to His glory, and the devil is continuing to come very hard at me with an on-and-off-again health issue that I believe is fear and nutrition-related. I also believe the Lord is testing me in His ever teaching and training me to live by faith not fear! I am thrilled to report I am working hard by God’s grace in my new freedom with which He has blessed me from a decades-long eating disorder to take superior care of this body that belongs to the Lord. I would be so thankful for your ongoing prayers if and as the Lord leads you with this and in anything else He places on your heart to pray!
Now, please find today’s message called BEAUTIFUL VOICE.
love & blessings,
Think of the person you love most on this earth. Among all the things you love about that person, do you love to hear his or her voice? In spending time with that person, do you love not only to speak but also to hear your loved one speak? Not only to hear your loved one speak to others but most especially to speak one on one intimately and personally to you? Aren’t speaking and listening a vital part of your blessed relationship with that person? And isn’t the same true with other people who are dear, near, and oh so precious to you?
What about the Lord, friend? There is no more beautiful, loving, merciful, kind, tender yet firm, truthful, righteous, unbelievably wrathful when necessary and warranted, forgiving when repentance comes, wonderful, precious, marvelous, magnificent, wise, breathtaking, enriching, comforting, fulfilling, exciting, calming, reassuring, steadfast, faithful, powerful, inspiring, impassioned, life-giving, and life-changing voice in the universe than the voice of God almighty.
He speaks to His children through the Bible, by His Holy Spirit to our hearts always in line with the Bible, through others when He so chooses, through dreams and visions He gives us, and in any way He so desires.
But how much dedicated and devoted alone time do we take in the presence of the Lord to love Him, honor Him, adore Him, praise Him, worship Him, cry out to Him, pray to Him – and to HEAR HIM and OBEY HIM when we HEAR HIM?
God’s most beautiful voice is to be SOUGHT, to be HEARD, and to be OBEYED!
Consider and be encouraged by the psalmist’s longing for the Lord!
“…As the deer pants for the water brooks, So pants my soul for You, O God.”
What about you, friend? Where do you stand?
I devote much time daily in the presence of the Lord, I read the Bible every day no matter what as I committed long ago to do, I seek Him and listen for His beautiful voice day and night, I long to commune with Him, I hunger to draw near to Him and Him to me, I strive to be His faithful daughter and servant and to repent when I fall short. For He is Lord of Lords, King of Kings, my Savior, my God, my first love, my forever love, and I am His, and He is so blessedly mine!
“My beloved is mine, and I am his…” Song of Solomon 2:16
I hope this message and sharing my heart with you inspire you to crave and thirst for and seek after His amazing presence, His beautiful voice, and a life totally devoted to Him as His good and faithful child and servant through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, AMEN!
“The voice of the LORD is over the waters; The God of glory thunders; The LORD is over many waters. The voice of the LORD is powerful; The voice of the LORD is full of majesty. The voice of the LORD breaks the cedars, Yes, the LORD splinters the cedars of Lebanon. He makes them also skip like a calf, Lebanon and Sirion like a young wild ox. The voice of the LORD divides the flames of fire. The voice of the LORD shakes the wilderness; The LORD shakes the Wilderness of Kadesh. The voice of the LORD makes the deer give birth, And strips the forests bare; And in His temple everyone says, “Glory!” The LORD sat enthroned at the Flood, And the LORD sits as King forever. The LORD will give strength to His people; The LORD will bless His people with peace.” Psalm 29:3-11
