How Is Your Attitude?

You can do everything right in God’s eyes with your outward actions but still hurt God’s heart and sin against Him by having ungodly, unholy, unrighteous thoughts and the wrong attitude.

Some years ago the Lord made clear He wanted me to do streets ministry in New York City for a season. For the life of me no matter how much I prayed and tried I could not find housing in New York City.

The Lord showed me that while I planned to go to New York City for that season of ministry in obedience to Him, my thoughts and attitude were displeasing, dishonoring, and disobedient.

Once I sought His forgiveness and committed to have the right attitude which He showed me needed to be one of love, joy, and thanksgiving, He provided the housing and led me into my season of ministry in New York City.

The Lord Jesus Christ used that experience to teach me that true obedience to God is about pleasing, honoring, and glorifying Him not only in our words and actions but also in our hearts. In our minds. In our thoughts. In our attitudes. And that we are to seek His forgiveness and make any necessary changes when we fall short.

How is your attitude?

Is your attitude pleasing, honoring, and glorifying to God?

Do your thoughts make God happy?

Is your heart right in the eyes of the Lord?

Need God’s forgiveness?

Need to make any changes?

Cry out to God in prayer!

“For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.” 1 Corinthians 6:20 NKJV
