When God Says No to Your Prayers

If we are all honest with ourselves, I believe many if not most of us would admit that we sometimes feel disappointed, down, discouraged, depressed, hurt, bitter, self-pitying, angry, afraid, disgusted, rejected, neglected, abandoned, un-liked, and/or even downright unloved by God when He essentially says NO to our prayers.

When God makes clear that what we have desperately desired, urgently asked for, longingly pleaded for, and even downright begged Him for is NOT in line with His will for us and He effectively answers our prayers with a NO, we can feel crushed.

We may even feel so upset that we distance ourselves from God or even go so far as to turn away from God and run the other way.

Friend, the Lord Jesus Christ ALWAYS knows best. His ways and His will are ALWAYS best. And as someone told me long ago, He sees the WHOLE picture while we only see part.

So when God says NO to our prayers, He is doing so because He sees the entire picture and knows what is best not just now but in the long run.

Please don’t turn away from God because He said NO to what you asked Him for. Please don’t run the other way. And if you already have, please humble yourself and turn back.

Above all else, put your trust day by day, step by step, breath by breath in the Lord Jesus Christ and be thankful that in His love for His children He will bring His ultimate perfect will to pass!

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6 NKJV
