Sometimes the very people we want to stay away from or get away from or have very little to do with anyway because we’re offended by them, hurt by them, scared of them, irritated by them, angry at them, lack love for them, etc. are the very people God wants us to humble ourselves and help!
What should we do? Obey God of course! But this is not all. We should begin by repenting of any and all sin in our thoughts, words, and actions. We should choose to love and forgive them, and God when we turn to Him and pray to Him will give us the strength to do this. So we are pure vessels for God to pour His love through. And we should pray to God to enable us to lovingly, humbly help them in whatever way He desires. He will give us all we need to obey Him in this and in all matters.
Does anyone come to mind you would have preferred to have nothing to do with you believe the Lord wants you to lovingly and humbly help?
Please seek the Lord, His will, and His strength – and humble yourself and help! According to the will of God for the glory of God, AMEN!
“Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.” 2 Corinthians 7:1 NKJV
“But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay, some for honor and some for dishonor. Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work.” 2 Timothy 2:20-21 NKJV
“”You have heard that it was said, ‘YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.” Matthew 5:43-45 NKJV
