I was thrilled upon realizing I had done something big in my ministry work that had seemed so enormous and daunting and virtually impossible at the start.
“I did it!” I exclaimed joyfully to myself as I looked at what I felt I had accomplished.
Immediately the Holy Spirit brought strong conviction. Why? Sin! Pride!
Herein lies a warning and thank God for HIs love, mercy, and patience!
Never should we take the glory for the Lord’s love, grace, goodness, strength, power, mercy, and provision in enabling us to do what He calls us to do. ALL glory belongs to Jesus!
We can do all things God calls us to do THROUGH Christ who gives us the strength NOT to praise, honor, and glorify ourselves but to humbly and thankfully bring love, honor, praise, and glory to God almighty!
Oh, Father, forgive us all for when we try to steal your glory! Have mercy upon us! Help us to remember to give YOU ALL the glory! Help us to be humble, oh Lord, and when we forget, oh God, forgive us! Teach us your ways, oh Lord, AMEN!
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13
