I Feel So Weak Right Now!

I feel so weak right now! Those are the precise words I thought as I finished up a walk with Jesus down the beach in the town where the Lord led me to set up a ministry base after a number of years on the road full-time for Him and ministry. You might be surprised to know I had that thought about my extreme weakness after taking a fast-paced wonderful walk on a very hot late October day. Especially considering several health issues yet resolved. I am quite sure I looked anything but weak hurrying down the beach praising the Lord aloud and enjoying the beautiful sunshine after a few very grey days.

But truly I felt extraordinarily weak. Not physically just then but emotionally and mentally. Facing some really hard stuff. Hurting deep in my heart day after day – for years. Decades of seemingly relentless challenges. Now the latest issues. And so much spiritual battle along with it. Not to mention being so very far away from friends and family. Not having friends in my new area yet. Oh, yes, I felt unbelievably weak. So weak I could barely imagine taking another step – emotionally that is.

But as soon as I realized how weak I felt, I experienced strong relief. And perhaps this is what you need to hear right now as you face your own challenges in life. As you yourself may at times feel so very indescribably weak.

It is when we acknowledge and admit our weakness and turn to the Lord Jesus Christ that we are made strong! It is when we humble ourselves and recognize we are nothing without God that He gives us all the strength we need! It is when we yield ourselves to Him that He becomes our strength! That He is our very strength!

It is when we cry out to God, when we put our trust and hope in Him, when we look to the Bible, when we keep crying out to Him, when we spend time in His presence, when we praise and worship Him no matter what we face, when we commune with Him, when we abide when we rest in sweet Jesus, then, friend, are we made strong! He gives us HIS STRENGTH!

I feel so very weak even as I write this. I am quite sure I could not go through another day without His love and strength. And I know even my next breath comes from Him.

If you are feeling weak right now, physically, emotionally, and/or spiritually,  please would you cry out to God?

The world tells us to pull ourselves up by our bootstraps, try to be strong in and of ourselves, muster up strength on our own, appear strong to others no matter how we feel, be strong for others, and keep up the appearance of strength for all to see. Oh, how weak we are without God’s strength! Please don’t follow this worldly advice. Follow the wisdom of God as He teaches us in the Bible!

Surrender yourself utterly to Him, live in obedience to Him, set your expectation in Him, let Him be your strength, and thank the Lord in your weakness He will supply His amazing strength! Hallelujah, AMEN!

Please be encouraged reading these verses, and please consider doing a word study in the Bible on “strength” and “strong”!

Find your strength in the Lord, and give Him all the glory! Amen!

“…God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble.” Psalms 46:1 NKJV

“My soul shall make its boast in the LORD; The humble shall hear of it and be glad.” Psalms 34:2 NKJV

“And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure. Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me. And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” 2 Corinthians 12:7-10 NKJV

“The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.” Psalms 18:2 NKJV

“Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the LORD, The Creator of the ends of the earth, Neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the weak, And to those who have no might He increases strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, And the young men shall utterly fall, But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40:28-31 NKJV
