I’ll Do Anything for You Lord BUT –

I’ll Do Anything for You Lord BUT –

Sometimes we tell the Lord we will do anything for Him, or we tell others we will do anything for the Lord, BUT – . But if the truth be told, we put stipulations and conditions on what we are truly willing to do. The Lord calls us to forsake all for Him, but if we’re honest with ourselves, we are not willing to forsake all. Oh, sure, we will forsake certain things and certain people and relationships He tells us to let go. But not others. We are willing to do certain things but not others. We will go to certain places but not others. We will help certain people but not others. We will say this but we won’t say that. Does this ring true for you?

Friend, when it comes right down to it, it’s not about TELLING the Lord and others we will do anything for Him. It’s about DOING anything and everything He calls us to do without any conditions at all no matter the cost to our flesh, our agendas, plans, dreams, possessions, etc. no matter the cost at all.

Are you willing to forsake all for the Lord Jesus Christ? Are you willing to DENY YOURSELF DAILY? Are you willing to DIE TO YOURSELF DAILY? Are you wiling to TAKE UP YOUR CROSS DAILY? Are you willing to FORSAKE ALL for Christ? Follow Him, friend, follow Him this day, tomorrow, and forevermore!

No matter the cost to your flesh, do, say, go anywhere, etc. according to the will and leading and in the love, mercy, grace, and strength of the Lord for the glory of Christ, Hallelujah, AMEN!

Lord, we need your help! We need you! Help us to be wholly surrendered to you! Help us to be willing to forsake all for you! So many people around the world bear crosses we can’t even fathom. They endure unbelievable trials as they forsake all for you. Many get their heads cut off, their family members murdered, persecuted beyond description, tortured beyond recognition. And I have the audacity to moan and groan and whine sometimes over the very little you have asked me to forsake day by day.

Help us not to feel sorry for ourselves when you call us to forsake something or someone, but to be thankful you know what is best. To be thankful that you call us to live entirely for you and no longer for us. Help us to be faithful to you, dear God. Help us to put no conditions on serving you, and to be willing to do anything, go anywhere, say anything, help anyone, to do whatever absolutely whatever you call us to – knowing you will give us the strength to follow you, to obey you, to forsake all that you call us to forsake. For you! Thank you, dear Father, precious Lord, AMEN!

“I affirm, by the boasting in you which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.” 1 Cor. 15:31

“Then He said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.” Luke 9:23

“So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple.” Luke 14:33
