It seemed everyone else could go on with their lives and their dreams while for me it was a challenge to just get through the day. When I came to understand that God wanted to be near my broken heart and to walk with me every step of the way, the aloneness went away.
My relationship with Him became more important than anything or anyone else, and I came to see He wanted to be with me whether my heart was broken or my life was whole. I finally realized I never needed to be alone again. He is always with me.
Do you ever feel like the rest of the world is going on its merry way as you struggle to even take another breath, or step? The world may be doing just that, but the Lord wants to be near your broken heart. Instead of holding Him at a distance, let Him all the way in.
