With the entire ministry to take care of, including 18 very special dogs, you can imagine that I sometimes find myself utterly exhausted. But I am quite certain that the rest the Lord has called me to this time around is not merely a physical rest.
He has also called me to a time apart with Him. Just as Jesus took time away with our Father in heaven, I am being called to do the same. The Lord has been pouring into me, convicting me of wrongdoing, changing things inside me, cleaning me out of junk, filling me up with more of Himself, and has just this very day taken me by the hand and heart as we embark on a journey together.
I am taking off for a new land. Though I remain as director of Walk by Faith Ministry, and continue forth with my usual responsibilities in the same town in the same home on the same property with the same responsibilities and the same 18 dogs, I am leaving behind the familiar, the secure, the obvious, the usual, and that to which I have clung for as long as I can remember.
So where am I going? I am going where the Lord takes me. I am going into the “secret place of the most high (Psalm 91)” to spend time with my Father, to rest in Him, to hear from Him, to obey Him, to be transformed by His Word as I pursue my study of it, and to enjoy what is left of this beautiful summer.
I am excited to go with the Lord to the next place He takes me. He is doing a mighty work in me, and I am thrilled that He loves me so much that He does not want me to remain in the place I had been for so long.
Please keep me and the ministry including the doggies in your prayers as I enjoy this next piece of my journey with my Lord.
And know that I will keep you posted as the Lord leads me to continue forth with this ministry He has put in my heart and hands.
