“”If it had not been the Lord who was on our side,” let Israel now say – ” Psalm 124:1
This verse may be referring to people from long, long ago, but is it not so very applicable to us today? If we stop to reflect on our lives thus far, there would not be time enough to praise the Lord for every single time He has loved us, helped us, forgiven us, healed us, redeemed us, delivered us, set us free, protected us, preserved us, comforted us, shown compassion to us, tenderly nursed our wounds, corrected us in His love, changed us, grown us, conformed us to Himself, taught us, given us wisdom, directed us, spoken to our hearts by His Spirit who lives inside His followers and always speaks in line with His Word, provided for us, delivered us to safety, rescued us, and on and on – and on. His goodness is everlasting. And so should be our praise! For His blessings go on forever. The greatest one of all? The Lord!
