“This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.” John 15:12……..

We need to be careful with people’s hearts. Oh, how very much we can hurt the hearts of others whether on purpose or not on purpose at all. Most of all, we can hurt the heart of the Lord! For when we fall short in loving others, do we not fall short in loving the Lord who created us all? When we hurt God’s children, must we not hurt God Himself? Oh, how we must!

If we are not loving one another, can we truly say we are loving the Lord? Jesus said those who love Him obey Him (John 14:15). And Jesus commands us to love Him – and to love others! So what happens when we hurt people instead of showing them love? Oh, how we must hurt the Lord when we do not love!

Not everyone is intended to be our best friend. Not everyone will play a significant role in our lives. Not everyone is meant to be in our lives at all. But is not how we treat others, whether they are in our lives for just moments or for decades or for any amount of time at all, a reflection of how we love the Lord who created us – or how we don’t love Him or don’t love Him enough?

Let us be careful each and every day to love Jesus! And, in loving Jesus, let us be careful each and every day to love others! In loving Jesus, let us love people whom He created. Let us love!

PRECIOUS FATHER, FORGIVE ME. FORGIVE US ALL. FOR NOT LOVING YOU THE WAY WE ARE COMMANDED. AND FOR NOT LOVING OTHERS THE WAY YOU COMMAND US. FORGIVE US FOR HURTING YOU WHEN WE HURT OTHERS. LET US KNOW, DEAR LORD, WHEN WE NEED TO SEEK YOUR FORGIVENESS WHEN IT COMES TO LOVING YOU AND OTHERS. LET US KNOW WHEN WE NEED TO SEEK THE FORGIVENESS OF OTHERS. LET US KNOW WHEN WE NEED TO FORGIVE OTHERS. AND HELP US, DEAR FATHER, EACH AND EVERY DAY, TO LEARN TO RECEIVE AND PASS ALONG YOUR MOST WONDERFUL GLORIOUS LOVE, AMEN!
