If you’re a committed follower of the Lord Jesus Christ, you can expect rejection, hatred, and even persecution. If you’re a Christ follower who will go to any lengths to help others find and follow Jesus as we are called to do, don’t be surprised if the level of rejection, hatred, and even persecution is greatly magnified. But please find comfort in this:

The Lord in His Word tells us to REJOICE when we suffer for His sake!

The Lord will love, comfort and strengthen us when we bring our hurting, weary, bruised, and battered hearts and lives to Him when we sustain injuries resulting from how we are treated due to loving and serving Him. He is the greatest lover, healer, comforter, strengthener, restorer, provider, and helper in the universe!

If you’re hurting right now due to rejection, hatred, and persecution resulting from following and serving Jesus, come to the Lord, friend, come to the Lord, and be refreshed in His almighty sovereign magnificent glorious forever presence!

“Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.” 2 Tim. 3:12

“So they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for His name.” Acts 5:41

“Blessed are you when men hate you,
And when they exclude you,
And revile you, and cast out your name as evil,
For the Son of Man’s sake.
Rejoice in that day and leap for joy!
For indeed your reward is great in heaven,
For in like manner their fathers did to the prophets.” Luke 6:22-23

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also abounds through Christ. Now if we are afflicted, it is for your consolation and salvation, which is effective for enduring the same sufferings which we also suffer. Or if we are comforted, it is for your consolation and salvation. And our hope for you is steadfast, because we know that as you are partakers of the sufferings, so also you will partake of the consolation.” 2 Cor. 1:3-7
