TIME TO SURRENDER?………..

“and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.” 2 Cor. 5:15

I was mulling and musing and perhaps somewhat murmuring in my heart anyway over a situation when the Spirit of God broke into it all and said this.

“It’s not about you,” God’s Spirit spoke to my heart. “Submit to me.”

Do you know that no matter how passionately, how fervently, how devotedly I love and follow the Lord Jesus Christ, and no matter how long it’s been since I became totally sold out to Him, I still need these reminders. All the time in fact.

That day, I was thinking about something that for me was pretty emotional. Pretty significant, a bit scary, a bit exciting, well, you get the point. And the way I was approaching it in those few minutes was to think about WHAT I WANTED, WHAT I THOUGHT WAS GOOD, WHAT I THOUGHT WAS RIGHT, WHAT I THOUGHT WAS RISKY, HOW I SHOULD FIGURE OUT WHAT TO DO, etc. Get the point? I had made it ALL ABOUT ME.

When in fact, the life of someone headed for eternity with the Lord instead of forever in hell and the lake of fire in torment SHOULD NOT BE ABOUT SELF. It SHOULD BE ABOUT CHRIST!

What did I need to do once again? SUBMIT MYSELF TO THE LORD. In that particular matter. And IN ALL THINGS. ALL for the GLORY OF THE LORD!

Have any submitting and surrendering to do, friend? I do. Daily. All for the glory of Christ!
