AN AMBULANCE, 2 STRANGERS, & JESUS

““I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.” John 17:20-23
I was praying silently as I walked as I sometimes do when I see ambulances and noticed a woman standing on the street corner across the street from the ambulance when I felt compelled to ask her a question.

“Are you praying for the person?” I asked her. I felt a little awkward. A little nervous. I’m truly shy at heart but the Lord has given me a boldness to proclaim Him to the world.

“Yes,” she readily replied.

The next thing I knew, two strangers, but now known to each other as sisters in the Lord, we prayed together for the person who was being taken away in the ambulance.

We hugged several times before we parted ways, and I gave her a Gospel tract with my contact information. We may never meet again on this side of heaven, but we know through Christ we will share eternity with one another in the presence of the Lord God almighty.

The Lord brought together two strangers for just minutes to serve Him together before He led us on to go where He would send us next.

We who follow the Lord Jesus Christ are ONE Body of Christ, we all belong to Him, and we are to love, worship, and serve Him as one united whole all for His forever glory, AMEN!
