“to put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.” Ephesians 4:22-24

“I will be back,” I told the ministry’s service special needs doggies. “And hopefully you will be on better behavior.”

Immediately I felt the conviction MY behavior – especially my attitude – needed to be better. But my flesh wanted to blame how the dogs were behaving that day, and the fact I was worn out from caring for special needs rescued dogs for years, for my bad attitude and behavior.

Friend, sin is sin. And nothing anyone else does or does not do – dogs included – can ever justify our sin against God and others. We can’t control nor are we responsible for what others do, but we can choose and are responsible for what WE do.

I needed to repent. Do you?
