“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.” Romans 8:14……….

I was walking paralyzed doggies Mr. Simeon and Miss Mercy just days after Miss Mercy got her new wheelchair when I had to maneuver them through a tight space on the sidewalk and Mr. Simeon in his wheelchair came off the sidewalk and into the grass.

In her old wheelchair, when Miss Mercy was feeling better and not having her recent extreme anxiety due to trucks and traffic, she didn’t need me to pull her alongside Mr. Simeon. Now I had to get used to pulling them both. Explaining why Mr. Simeon came off the sidewalk.

“You’re off track,” I essentially told him aloud. He was off track because he was depending on me.

There are two lessons in this, friend.

First, we need to be careful whom we are allowing to help us because we can get off track if we’re relying on someone who is not carefully following Christ.

Second, we need to be careful when we’re helping people along that we’re helping them according to the leading and ways of Christ so we don’t get them off track.

It matters with whom we spend our time. It matters on whom we rely. It matters from whom we get counsel. It matters with whom we walk.

We need to stay on track with Jesus, and we need to help others to do the same.

The place to begin is to be submitted to the Spirit of God as He leads us forth. And, as we walk alongside others, we want to make sure they and we are walking by the leading of the Lord!

Please be careful.
