“Nevertheless the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal: “The Lord knows those who are His,” and, “Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity.”” 2 Tim. 2:19-21
My long-time pastor and daddy in Christ who went on to be with the Lord years ago got up before the congregation and started preaching when all of a sudden he stopped and couldn’t say another word because the Holy Spirit had brought strong conviction and correction to him.
He had hurt someone in the congregation and could not preach another word until he brought her up to the front of the room and asked her forgiveness. I am quite sure he had repented before the Lord. And he had apologized to the person he had hurt. Then, pure and clean, he carried on with his preaching.
Let us not simply serve the Lord with our actions. Let’s be pure and clean in our hearts as we serve Him!
