“Oh, magnify the Lord with me,
And let us exalt His name together.” Psalm 34:3
Do you see serving the Lord as an obligation or a joy? As drudgery or a privilege? As a way to get people’s approval and praises, or as a way to please and bring joy, honor, and glory to the Lord? What are your motives for serving the Lord? Are you serving Him daily?
Sometimes we need to step back, and step away, and slow down, and take the time in the presence of the Lord to pray, seek Him, listen for His Spirit who lives inside His followers speaking to our hearts, read and meditate on the Bible, and determine just where we stand when it comes to serving the Lord.
Let us serve Him with love, joy, praise, and thanksgiving in our hearts, and let us purify our hearts when we find we are not. And, if we find we are not serving Him at all or regularly, let’s make the commitment this very day to love and serve the Lord Jesus Christ now and forever, AMEN!
