Me (Lara Love) welcoming Miss Miracle into my heart, ministry and life after her flight by a very special pilot! |

With all glory to God, and thanks to numerous people He sent along to help with this special little dog, Miss Miracle began her new life on Sunday with myself, Walk by Faith Ministry, and her 18 precious, mostly special needs and senior doggies. Her new family includes 3 paralyzed, 1 two-footed, one 3-legged, one missing toes, one blind, two more with age-related walking issues, and more – including a head-over-heels-in-love-with-Jesus-Christ Miss Mommie!

Miss Miracle was rescued by a beautiful woman of God hours away from me, received phenomenal care at a very special veterinary clinic in Northern VA, was prayed over and transported by car to the airport by another precious woman of God, flew with an incredibly giving private pilot to North Carolina, spent the night with the pilot and his loving wife who go to exceeding lengths to rescue and fly dogs to safety on a regular basis, flew on her second plane journey the following day, and landed in my heart, ministry, and life all in a matter of a week. How is that for a miracle?
Some people have a hard time watching Miss Miracle walk, but I do not. I have long since learned in my journey with the Lord about learning to walk by faith. I know all about stumbling, hobbling, falling, tripping, getting back up again, and learning to keep my eyes on the prize – the Lord. And with all the very special dogs in my care, many of whom walk in their own unique ways (wheelchairs, dragging, hoisting their bodies up into the air, walking without eyes to see, etc.), I can only say that Miss Miracle is the perfect fit.

At a time in my life when I could easily wind down on my responsibilities and take an endlessly long vacation from almost constant opportunities to serve, I am clearly not. Though I certainly take my naps, sit in the sun for rest, and read a book at night to unwind in small ways, I have far too much on my plate to do much more slowing down than that. I may have my work cut out for me, but I know full and well that my labor is not in vain. Everything I do, as best I am able, is for the glory of the Lord that His love and mercy might pour through me to a world that so desperately needs it.
