Missing Person? Lara Love…

Missing person? No, I am not missing. But it has dawned on me that people following the goings-on of Walk by Faith Ministry may be wondering where I have been over the past several months. Not to mention, they may be wondering where my writing has gone. So now that I’m reporting in to disclose that I’m not missing, I’m guessing someone out there may want an explanation…….

Quite contrary to my own agenda and plans for my life, the Lord had something else entirely in mind several months ago when He landed me in a new church, with a new pastor (a pastor who is also a Bible-based coach and counselor, mind you), and the strong words, “I am preparing you.” Just when I thought I was at last on track to go catapulting forward in my way of seeing my future, the Lord reminded me who is sovereign – and who is not. He does not call Himself “I Am” for nothing.

So, what exactly have I been doing? Or, more precisely, what exactly is the Lord doing? When the Lord told me nearly a decade ago what He had planned for my life – i.e. my calling – He neglected to tell me something very important. Okay, truthfully, everyone knows the Lord does not neglect. Frankly, I neglected to take heed to the words my pastor told me at the time. “Now begins the preparation.” Preparation? Yikes! Are you kidding me? No, God was not kidding me. Nor He is kidding me now.

For all the years since that I begged God to change my circumstances, He has been using my very circumstances to change my heart – and my life. Yes, from the inside out. In the wildest, most terrifying, joyful, precious, crazy, and a million other adjectives, way. After all, the Lord is “the way” – is He not?

So, to make a long story short, I have not gone missing. I have simply gone deeper into the preparation work the Lord is doing in my heart and life so that I am ready inside and out when the time is right to proceed forward with the calling the Lord has on my life.

So what does this mean as far as Walk by Faith Ministry is concerned? Stay tuned. Okay, I won’t leave you in total suspense. If you know the mission of the ministry, you will surely understand that what you have seen over the past couple of years is just a very small part of what I believe the Lord will ultimately release me to do in love and service to Him and His Creation. More accurately, what the Lord will do through me and this ministry.

The mission? Walk by Faith Ministry shares the Gospel as we minister the Lord’s love to a world in need. The five-fold aspect comprises praying, preaching, inspirational writing/publishing, distributing the Lord’s provision to those in need, and helping homeless dogs.

Now, in all seriousness, stay tuned for more. I’m not just keeping you in suspense. I’m being kept in suspense also as I wait on the Lord for further preparation, further instructions, and His release – in His time, mind you.
